While we’re usually asked a number of questions, both before, and often during any removal job, there are naturally a number of them that crop up more often than others. Here, we’ve selected a short number of the Q’s you ask us to A most often – but don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any more. From the moment you request a quote, your cost will be calculated on an individual basis. Naturally, the distance we travel will come into the equation, as will the number of vans (and “mans”) involved to take care of the move, and the location of your property may also make a difference (for instance, if you’re moving out of or into an apartment many floors up from our van upon arrival or delivery.

A great question – and one that we can certainly answer in the most positive way. Absolutely, once the MVL removals team are in charge of the items we have agreed to move, you will be fully insured against unexpected damage. One of our specialist services is antique collections so, as you can imagine, we need to be comprehensively insured at all times – for the benefit of both you, our customers, and our removals team.

If parking permits are required at the beginning of the removal, or upon arrival at the next destination, please let us know prior to the move. You will need to organise for any permits required yourself, so let us know when you request a quote. While we can’t organise the permits ourselves, we can provide you with advice on what you will need to organise, if you’re not sure of this yourself.

The number of vans we will provide ultimately depends on the volume of items we are moving. Naturally, two or more vans will mean four or more people coming to take care of the move, and this will impact the cost of the service overall. However, if you’re not sure what you require, we’ll happily help you to work out the right solution – and subsequently the right price – for your next move.

Even if you contact us with a same-day, last minute removal request, we’ll do whatever we can to get you moved out and in when you need. The more notice you give us, the better chance we have of supplying everything you need, at a cost you’ll love, but if life was always that simple you wouldn’t need to ask this question!
